For over 20 years Christopher L., a NJ native, has been a  performer/teaching artist (acting, musical theatre, jazz/hip-hop, working throughout the tri-state area.

From elementary through high school, he studied with Marie Thomas and the Children’s Theatre Workshop/Peppermint Players. Continuing on to Montclair State University, studying acting with Diane Holub and Susanne Trauth. 

He’s toured Europe in several productions. Including playing Hud and serving as dance captain in Euro-tour of the musical Hair,  directed by its creator James Rado. Returning from Europe, Christopher began studying Ballet (Evie Lynn) , Jazz (Maria Torres, and Hip-Hop (Darrin Henson)  at Broadway dance center.  He continued touring the US, working with award winning director/choreographer George Faison (The Wiz, Making It!) And later earning his Equity card in the NY Public Theater production of Radiant Baby. Featuring choreography by Hip-Hop dance-pioneer Fatima Robinson (Dreamgirls), with direction from its very own artistic director, the incomparable George C. Wolfe.(Angels in America, Lackawanna Blues)
 
As a drama coach/teacher, Christopher works with students/ performers of all ages and levels. Using the voice, improvisation, character development and scene-study in developing confidence and strong stage technique.
 
When working with dancers, he focuses on  a fundamental understanding of Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop along with a strong understanding of character and storytelling. 
For nearly 20 years Christopher has been on staff with Sharron Miller Academy of the Performing Arts. Helping to develop and implement core curriculum standards for their artist in resident programs serving Newark, East Orange. Hillside and Paterson NJ. As well as serving as drama teacher for SMAPA Prime Time Summer Arts Program writing/ directing eight original productions over a 6 week period. 
And recently bringing musical theatre to the Umoja Dance Studio summer program.
 
Christopher also serves as an instructor and coordinator for the musical theater program at Peak P.A.C in Ridgefield NJ. Where he works closely with Lori Michaels and Reach Out Inc.
 
He continues to work with the Children’s Theatre Workshop/ Peppermint Players as a drama/ dance instructor,  most recently performing as Cab Calloway for their 40th anniversary at the New Victoria Theatre at NJPAC.
