Mauricio Alexander is an actor, writer, filmmaker, director and producer whose most recent film project “Departure” made its debut as an official selection at the 2011 NY International Latino Film Festival, 2011 Loisaida Cortos Latino Film Festival and the 2012 Rose Marine Latino Film Festival. His other recent projects include “X-Mas Tequila” and “Sweethearts” directed by Leyla Tatiana Rosario, and “¡Chinga Tu Romney!” co-starring Mike Smith Rivera as well as guest appearances on the Latino web-series East Willy B and the Sundance Channel’s Webby Award winning series The Captive.. He was most recently mentioned as one of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers’ rising talent for 2012. Mauricio is also an active music producer and performing artist and has performed live on U.S. stages with hip-hop acts DAM, Rebel Diaz, K Salaam, Hassan Salaam, Open Thought, Akim Funk Buddha and Mental Notes.
